6 Daily Habits For A Positive Mindset And Successful Life

May 10, 2022

We cannot count on willpower alone to create the life of our dreams. We must begin by changing our perspective & focus on our daily habits that influence our environment.

A positive mindset can inspire us to make the choices we really want to make. The ones that tend to be the most difficult.

According to the National Science Foundation, an average person has about 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day. Of those, 80% are negative & repetitive thoughts.

Shifting deep perspectives formed from repetitive & negative thoughts can be challenging, but it is 100% possible.

It just takes a bit of practice.

1) Take a few minutes at the beginning of each day to set your intentions or goals for the day.

2) Think about how you can restructure your day to create a more positive environment. Like carving out time for a 20 min walk each morning or evening. It's almost impossible to have a negative thought in that type of energy state.

3) Simply noticing negative thoughts as thoughts that do not serve you can help too. These thoughts do not need to be pushed away. Instead they can be observed, better understood & then counteracted.

 4) As you become stronger, try making opposing thought statements in your mind whenever you catch a negative thought. When this happens to me I simply say to myself... "That's not the version of me I want to listen to."

5) Feeling stressed & thinking about everything that could go wrong...Why not take that time to imagine everything that could go right.

6) Feeling depressed about the future...Why not take that time to imagine a future full of all the wonderful things you want to create in your life.

We all have the ability to be stronger than our environment & to project a more positive one.

It just takes a bit of practice each day & a willingness to change.

One of the best things you can do to get control of yourself is to understand the connection between body, mind & environment... It may be the most foundational building block of success.

I absolutely love this philosophy... The answer is everywhere and in everything, because it's you. Don't restrict yourself to one perspective, one discipline. Have a broad perspective and don't be a slave to traveling the already well beaten path.

We live in the freest time & in the one of the freest places in the history of the world... Yet many of us feel so far from “free.”

The thing I find interesting about nutrition is the superiority complex many people have about what they eat.

Eat & live like the person you want to be... I believe the better one eats, the more balanced one becomes with exercise, which then frees up valuable time for experiences & reflection. Our keen edge is too often dulled by heavy eating & wasted further as we become drained trying to “work it off”.
