The thing I find interesting about nutrition is the superiority complex many people have about what they eat.
You drink milk, omg it's bad
You had a diet coke lol cancer
You eat bread #gluten
Animal meat? Don't you watch Netflix?
The interesting thing, though is how wrong they often are. Most things people are afraid of aren't bad (since you must look at all food decisions and lifestyle choices in totality and context) or in the case of this post, not nearly as bad as what most people actually do which might be...
Crush alcohol
Mindlessly eat snacks
Sit on their booties most of the day
Sleep terribly
Stay stressed
Carry excess body fat
My point is that we need to think a little bit past the surface before judging someone else's food choices. If your first thought is a negative one ask yourself if you know what else they do, and more importantly how perfect are YOU? Based on experience, most eaters are hypocritical in some way. I know I am at times and I actively work on it.
The food snob movement is a popular one right now. No one is better than someone else because of their food choices. And if you think someone else is being foolish with food, look in the mirror first. That's where the real attention should be.
